Camping

People traveling in groups larger than six must reserve their sites in advance before departure. Small groups and boaters cannot reserve sites, and must register upon arrival. For a reference map of the campsites, consult the National Park Service Map.

Your behavior affects the health of its plants and animals, as well as the morale of its excellent staff of rangers. Money and energy can be either directed to damage repair or to interpretive programs and facility upgrades. Your behavior determines where the Park directs its effort. You can help keep the park's budget focused on improvements by: Practicing Leave No Trace camping. Protecting your food from animals. Treating the shelters gently.
